The Relationships And Motivation Lab (RAMLAB) consists of undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers working to understand how interpersonal relationships work. The team employs a range of empirical methods—experimental, observational, longitudinal, experience-sampling, etc.—to investigate when two strangers feel a touch of fire during a first meeting, how people can navigate conflict more constructively, why the changing nature of marriage makes it more difficult to build a fulfilling marriage even as it makes the best marriages better than ever, and so forth.
Important Note on Graduate Admissions: The RAMLAB will NOT admit a PhD student during the Fall 2024 application season (for the 2025-2026 academic year).
